KAPĀLAMA- The Kamehameha Schools Girls Varsity Volley Ball team had their annual senior night on Tuesday September 25, 2019, against Punahou.

Kekūhaupiʻo gym was  decorated with blue and white balloons, and blown up posters in honor of the six seniors on the team: Braelyn Akana, Lexis Akeo, Chloe Akiona, Malie McClure, Kalina Obrey, and Paris Oliviera. Audience members in support of these seniors made their own posters and hung them above the bleachers prior to the game.

At the start of the game, the head coach of Punahou’s girls volleyball team gave individual roses to the seniors on Kamehameha’s team.

The girls were working hard as they had to stop between plays to wipe their sweat of the court. Kamehameha took the first two sets as Punahou took the next two. The fifth and final set brought Kamehameha home as they won 15-5 against Punahou!

After the game, each senior on Kamehameha’s team was recognized with kind words of encouragment, balloons, leis, and posters from their friends, family, and coaches. I mua Kamehameha!
