Addis Belay, Reporter
Aloha mai! ‘O Addis koʻu inoa. I am from the West Side of ʻOahu, and currently live in Makakilo. If you recognize me, its probably because me and my friends were being loud and annoying in ʻAkahi (e kala mai). I am the President of the Advocacy Club, Vice President of the Speech & Debate and Vice President of the Model United Nations Club My favorite class is APEL, and my least favorite class is Sophomore Year Honors Chemistry. I have a passion for civic engagement and love all things politics. I had an article I wrote about January 6th published in the Star-Advertiser, although I personally think Ka Moʻi is classier. If you ever need a FIRE book rec or a guide on Lana Del Rey’s discography, I am 100% the girl to talk to. I’m excited to join Ka Moʻi because my mother was a part of this when she went here in the olden days. I look forward to writing articles about local hot topics and the upcoming legislative session. Me ke aloha, Addis Belay!
